For this debate we will discuss the following statement:

 

The traditional family, consisting of father and mother, is the most sustainable family formation for the society

 

This statement will be defended by development psychologist Wietske Noordzij. She wrote a number of books on the raising of children. Using her expertise she will defend the statement.

Countering this statement will be Quirijn Lokker. Quirijn (32) graduated the bachelor Cultural Anthropology and Developmentstudies at the Radboud University and finished his studies with a masters degree of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam.

In his work, both professionally as voluntarily, he committed to the emancipation of LGBTIs, formerly for among other 'Theater AanZ en COC Nederland.

Since 2018 he's a city councilor on behalf of GroenLinks in Nijmegen.

Tijdens het debat zal de volgende stelling worden besproken:

 

het traditionele gezin, met vader en moeder, is de meest duurzame gezinssamenstelling voor de samenleving.

 

De voorstander van dit debat is ontwikkelingspsychologe Wietske Noordzij. Zij heeft een aantal boeken geschreven over het opvoeden van kinderen en gaat vanuit haar kennis deze stelling verdedigen.

 

De tegenstander van deze stelling zal Quirijn Lokker zijn. Quirijn (32) deed zijn bachelor culturele antropologie en ontwikkelingsstudies aan de Radboud Universiteit en rondde zijn studie af met een master Culturele Antropologie aan de UvA. 

In zijn werk, zowel vrijwillig als professioneel, zet hij zich in voor de emancipatie van LHBTI’s, in het verleden voor onder andere het Nijmeegse Theater AanZ en COC Nederland. 

Sinds 2018 zit hij namens GroenLinks in de gemeenteraad van Nijmegen.
